PROJECT B ( brief )

VISUAL HIERARCHY: TEXT, VISUAL AND LAYOUT

First we hve to Choose/create a piece of text – a story, a text or a feature report - based on the 5 elements. Then we identify the key/anchor points that are critical to the text or where the most interesting part lies. Two key frames for this text were illustrated and we explored different color palettes for the same illustrations to enhance/emphasize the message.

The text and the visual were combined to create a handout for the story/poem/feature. Experiment were made with visual hierarchy by changing typographic and visual/color variables to bring clarity, interest and variety to the printed message.Dynamic compositions were created with the following parameters:

·         Composition 1: make the first letter of the first word the most prominent element
·         Composition 2: make the text the most prominent element
·         Composition 3: make the title the most prominent element
·         Composition 4: make the visuals the most prominent element

Finally we selected one of the compositions as the final handout.
