PROJECT A ( SRISHTI GUPTA )

DESTRUCTION
Fire can be the flame that flickers or the blaze that destroys, it colors the blood and pulse of our being. These simple line explains that fire can either be constructive or destructive and I  have looked at the destructive side of the fire. How it takes everything within its grasps and eaves nothing but remains behind.

Circle of fire: capturing master

Bikes: pollution monsters

Broken glass: a sense of sadness and destruction

Crane: claiming its right over everyone

Devils tail: reaching out towards us

Fire: the uncontrollable and unstoppable

Industry: the seeds of our destruction

Cracks: after effects of fire

Crashed cars: remains of a life

Candles: a state of mourning

DIPTYCH AND TRIPTYCH
DIPTYCH: The following two photographs give a sense of sadness. The two of them alone doesn’t hold much of a strong effect yet when linked together they bring out a new meaning altogether. It gives out a feel as if the madness of the youth (driving and going crazy) their life style is giving rise to a new situation, a place of sadness.

TRIPTYCH: In the following it links the three photographs with a common element fire. It symbolizes and gives out the characteristics of fire uncontrollable, dangerous, destructive and consuming. The first frame shows the fire as rising, second as conquering and the third one as spreading and capturing everything within it.

   NARRATIVE SEQUENCE
In the narrative sequence I have tried to bring about the fact that how little carelessness on one’s side can bring about the destruction of his life. Through the help of a disco ball and a fast moving car I have tried to capture that when ones loses his control over his actions and desires he also loses his control over his life thus moving on the path of destruction. In the narrative sequence first the ball is clear showing a stability and control, slowly it becomes hazy and unclear and turns into a fast moving car this shows the path of destruction which finally meets into an accident thus marking the end of life. The last frame is black and empty to show that darkness has claimed over the life and nothings left behind.
